A Look Inside the Winter Box!

Happy 2023! The Winter Box was inspired by Psalm 46:10, "Be still and know that I am God." This verse is so much easier said than done, isn't it? Especially if you read the rest of Psalm 46. It talks about earthquakes, raging waters, and nations in uproar... pretty chaotic and not very peaceful if you ask me. And yet God calls us to be still. Amidst the chaos, He whispers for us to rest in Him knowing that He is in control. He is with us. He is our fortress. My hope is that these products will inspire you to slow down a bit this season. To linger under the covers for a little longer and soak in the stillness of winter. To savor each sip of your morning coffee and quiet time with Jesus. More than anything though, I hope it encourages you to truly know (even when you don't feel like it) that He is in control.

Let’s dive in and take a closer peek at these gorgeous goodies inside…

COZY LEOPARD BLANKET // PANACHE APPAREL

Panache Apparel is a woman-owned, wholesale business in Minnetonka, Minnesota. They are run by a small team of 10 women, and I love that they are all about female empowerment! Every year for a week in November, they do something called Crowns for College and give a portion of their sales that week to help a young woman pay for college. Because they do not offer their products directly to consumers, it makes this blanket almost like an exclusive for our box! It is oh-so-soft and cozy!

AYITI-MEDIUM ROAST COFFEE // AVANTI COFFEE COMPANY

Avanti Coffee Company was founded by my friends Frentz and Mallery Nepture and offers direct trade, organic, low acid coffee that is ethically farmed in the mountains of Haiti. By choosing coffee from Avanti, we are helping to keep Haitian families united and empowered to thrive. Their Ayiti roast is a premium, low-acidic bean, rich with vanilla and nutty undertones, hints of floral, and a smooth finish. "Ayiti" is the Haitian Creole spelling for Haiti, and the Ayiti roast is rich like the culture of its people. The notes of vanilla, nuts, and floral so beautifully depict some of Haiti's best agriculture blessings. Savor every sip this winter season and maybe even share a steamy cup of joe with a coffee-loving friend!

DAINTY BAR STUD EARRINGS // SELA DESIGNS

Sela Designs is a female-owned and operated jewelry company based in Wisconsin that values people, radical generosity, and well-made jewelry. They give 100% of profits to charity to care for orphans, stop human trafficking, and provide jobs. These dainty 14k gold filled or sterling silver bar studs are perfect for cozy days at home to elevate your favorite loungewear this winter or to layer in a second or third piercing. Make sure to follow their founder, Ashleigh, over on Instagram @seladesigns for important education on ethical fashion and ending human trafficking, as well as outfit and jewelry inspiration!

OATMEAL MILK & HONEY BATH BOMB // OLD WHALING CO.

Old Whaling Co. is a family-owned brand in Charleston, SC that originated from the desire for a gentler alternative to everyday bath and body brands. From simple ingredients to sea-inspired fragrances, all of their products are free of sulfates, phthalates, parabens, mineral oil, and gluten, and aim to leave your skin feeling clean and moisturized. This small business makes my favorite bath bombs ever! I love a good soak in the tub this time of year to relax both my mind and my body, and this subtle scent is the perfect blend of warm and soothing. I hope you'll take some time to rest and unwind this winter, too.
