COLOR: RUST
This is not the color that typically comes to my mind when I think of spring. However, rust is no longer a color reserved just for fall! Fashion experts have made it clear that this color is going to be big this spring and summer too. Just take a look through the clothing department at Target like I did recently, and you'll see it everywhere! Check out this spring anorak jacket, $8 v-neck tee, and gauzey kimono/wrap if you're looking for an affordable way to add this color to your closet this spring.
TREND: SPOTS
From cheetah to dalmatian to a traditional polka dot... get ready to be seeing spots! I have (and love!) this white and black dotted skirt that is oh-so-versatile for mixing and matching with all your basic tops this spring. Just add a jean jacket and you're good to go! SPRING STYLE HACK
Pinterest is my jam. I use it regularly for recipes, trend updates, and outfit inspiration. My favorite use for Pinterest is to shop my own closet! Whenever I see an outfit I think I can recreate with things I already have, I save it to my ‘clothes’ board. Then on days when I don’t know what to wear or feel like I’m in a style rut, I quickly scroll through my past pins, pick one, and voila! Ready for the day. For example, the outfit I'm wearing here (pictured) was inspired by this saved pin I came across recently.
